DERMAL FILLER

Dermal fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid which is stabilised in an injectable gel. They are modified versions of the hyaluronic acid that is a natural component of the skin and mainly responsible for hydration and maintaining moisture.

When injected into the skin, dermal fillers attract water and can improve facial contours, smooth fine lines and wrinkles and restore lost volume that occurs with aging. Results are seen immediately, with the final results seen after any initial swelling subsides and the fillers become more hydrated.

At Balans, we only use premium brands of dermal filler that are backed by years of clinical studies and carry FDA and CE approval. We choose different densities and techniques depending on the area to be treated.

  • Lip Augmentation

    Dermal filler injected into the lips can increase the volume and fullness, define lip borders and improve the shape or correct asymmetries.

    Whether you want an obvious fuller lip or just a refreshed, hydrated appearance, lip filler is suitable for everyone. We use a combination of needle and micro-cannula techniques and if needed, it can be built up over time to achieve your desired look to avoid the unnatural results that are commonly associated with lip filler.

  • Cheek Augmentation

    From £200/ml

    Defined and contoured cheeks are a highly attractive feature. As we age, we lose volume in the mid face through loss of fat and this can be restored with dermal filler. Cheek augmentations improve the facial profile and create a lifting effect, achieving a more youthful or sculpted appearance.

  • Nosolabial Folds And Marionette Lines

    Nasolabial folds are the lines that run from either side of the nose to the corners of the mouth and marionette lines run down from the corners of the mouth towards the jaw.

    Creases around the mouth can become deeper and a more permanent feature as we age. Dermal filler can be used to smooth out lines and creases in this area, plumping the skin and softening the appearance of the lower face.

  • Chin & Jaw Augmentation

    Using dermal filler to the chin and jawline are hugely beneficial in improving and balancing the facial profile. In women, dermal filler in this area can be used to elongate the face creating a more feminine shape. The jawline can be contoured to reduce the appearance of jowls as we age, restoring a more youthful aesthetic.

    In men, dermal filler in the chin and jaw can create a more sharpened, stronger masculine profile.

  • Dermal Filler Dissolving

    From £150

    Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are dissolvable using an enzyme called hyaluronidase which is also known as ‘Hyalase’.

    A patch test is needed prior to treatment. A two week period is needed before any further treatment with dermal filler.
